Welcome to BKPCTF 2016!
BKPCTF is a Jeopardy-style Capture The Flag Competition offered by BostonKeyParty.
Challenge Categories
- Misc (web, etc.)
- Crypto
- Reverse Engineering
- Exploitation
Contest Rules
- Flags are of the format BKPCTF{[0-9a-zA-Z_]+}. Please submit the entire flag, including BKPCTF{}. If flag is in
another format, it will be specified in the challenge description.
- Challenges will include author names, if the author is on irc, do not spam other channel admins unless this
author is not responding.
- The Game UI as well as the Scoreboard will be available via ssh.
- Teams breaking rules will be penalized or excluded from the competition.
- Any form of flag sharing or solution sharing is not allowed. It is not allowed for teams to have multiple
accounts.
- It is not allowed to attack the competition infrastructure. If flaws in the infrastructure are found, please
report to the admins on irc or email crowell@bu.edu.
- It is not allowed to sabotage or in any way hinder the progress of other competing teams. This includes
attempting to destroy a challenge after you have completed it.
- It is not allowed to generate large amounts of traffic (i.e bruteforcing or DDoSing). You will simply get
blacklisted.
- None of the challenges can be solved by running automated scanners.
- It is not allowed to brute-force challenge flags/keys against the scoring site.
- The top team (which has not already qualified for DEFCON CTF Finals 2016) will win the chance to compete in
DEFCON CTF Finals in Las Vegas.
- The winning team should be ready to provide writeups upon request from the organizers.
- Organizers may rearrange/modify contest problems, proceedings, and rules.
- Don’t be the one to ruin the fun for everyone...
